Love cannot hurt me,
I'm numb to it's sweet kiss.
I will not let it bleed my soul
Or Poison me with bliss.
Love cannot touch me
My disguise is too complete.
My walls are raised, all weapons bared
I taunt it in defeat.
Love cannot mock me
I'm wise now to its ploy.
No facade of joy can hide the truth.
I will not be it's toy.
Love cannot reach me,
so armored in my sin,
alone I sit, forever damned
and dream what might have been...
Love...cannot save me.
