Vote your Conscience!

With the NJ Gubernatorial election less than a week away, the question of voting your conscience needs to be raised. If this means supporting the honorable Gov., Christine Whitman, or the respected Mr. McGreevy, then so be it. Cast your vote and sleep well.

If however you are undecided and feel that change is long overdue in Trenton, it may be time to consider Mr. Sabrin, the Libertarian candidate.

True, he does not get nearly the amount of free press that Ms. Whitman and Mr. McGreevy receive, although he is the candidate who, by popular opinion, dominated the first and third Gubernatorial debates. Even though he is the representative of the third largest organized political party in NJ and the United States, with many lower offices throughout the state to their name, the media still chooses to marginalize his influence as well as his chance at victory in the upcoming election. They have created a sort of self fulfilling prophecy with Mr. Sabrin, believing that if he is ignored by them, he will be ignored by the people. I doubt they will even print this editorial for fear of its influence.

They believe that the people of NJ are sheep, to be led down the well-worn path of Republi-Crat wisdom. By convincing people that a vote for Murry Sabrin is a wasted vote, they assure the continuance of the status quo.

Voting your conscience is NEVER a wasted vote. The only wasted vote is that vote not made, or worse, a "lesser of two evils vote" where you vote for that candidate who you feel will cause the least amount of damage.

Murry. Sabrin viewpoint is logical and basic. It is the viewpoint of liberty. It is the exact same viewpoint which founded this country. The Republicans and Democrats viewpoints are simply flip sides of the same coin. They both believe that Big Government is the answer to our woes. Murry Sabrin believes Big Government, and the financial drain it is on our economy, are the cause of most of our woes.

Maybe we should give him a chance. Mr. Sabrin offers a real change, not simply more of the same. He could hardly do worse in four years than his predecessors. He might actually effect great good while in office. He is a professor of economics from Ramapo College. He is a studied and learned man with a real job, not a political animal subservient to the conventional and impotent rhetoric of modern political theory.

If you are on the fence as to whom you should vote for, consider Murry Sabrin….and then vote your conscience
